Pulsing beats and PINK pullovers filled Alumni Hall on Thursday during “This Is How I Pink,”a fashion show planned and run by Victoria’s Secret’s model PINK campus representative interns to benefit Middle Way House, Bloomington’s domestic violence shelter.

Admission was a toiletry or clothing donation for the charity.

The show started with a performance by the Off Beat IU Greek Dance Team, clad in pink T-shirts womens clothing and tank tops. As the lights dimmed, the dancers jumped off the stage and were replaced by models.

IU students walked the runway modeling fashions womens clothing from PINK’s Collegiate Collection and local vendors Cha Cha, InSeam Denim and Cactus Flower.

The audience tapped their feet to the music provided by the event’s co-sponsor, WIUX.
Intern and junior Lizzy Gerard managed the model wardrobe changes backstage.

Impressions Salon South provided the models with beauty care makeup and hairstyling free of charge for the event.

The models took a final walk on the runway together to the cheers of the audience.
“We thank you so much for supporting Middle Way House,” intern Mary Deneen said to the audience after the web fashion finale. “Your donations will be greatly appreciated.”

Attendees browsed the WIUX, PINK and College Fashionista promotional tables.

Junior Danielle Boardman of WIUX ran a table giving away tote bags and PINK coupons to those who brought a donation. A laptop was also available to register online for PINK Nation, Victoria’s Secret’s online program that offers discounts and updates about the PINK brand.

Style Gurus from College Fashionista, a college blog offering style advice and fashion updates, offered free mirrors and the opportunity to subscribe to the blog. They also photographed attendees as they entered. Amy Levin, College Fashionista’s founder, said photos of the best dressed will be featured online.

Denen said she did not know what to expect but was happy with the turnout.
“I was so nervous,” said junior Alyce Bryant, one of the beauty care taking models. “It was really fun, though, and I thought it turned out really well.”

The audience walked away with a pink goody bag filled with a compact mirror provided by College Fashionista web fashion a coupon for PINK’s Collegiate Collection and a flyer for WIUX’s upcoming pledge drive.

Though many considered the show a success, donations were less than anticipated.
“I think we raised a good amount of donations, but I think we raised students’ awareness about Middle Way House even more,” Deneen said.

Sophomore Dina Chipiga said she thought the interns did a really good job putting the show together.

“The runway and the music and Off Beat and the pink lights looked spectacular,” Deneen said. I was really happy that all the seats were filled.”

Looking a bit thinner than usual, Audrina Patridge was spotted making her way with beautiful women apparel around Los Angeles on Saturday evening (October 17).

Raj Kumar Santoshi chose you for his first comedy in 15 years. How does it feel?
It’s a great honour to work with Rajji. When I asked Akshay, Salman and Ajay Devgan ‘Who is the best director for an actor?’, all three actors said it’s definitely him.

Did comedy come easily to you?
I followed exactly what Rajji showed me. I would remain on the sets and be around him to know how he envisions the scene. Before every shot, he would enact both Ranbir and my parts and we would follow him to the T. Ranbir and I were competing over who was copying Rajji more closely.

Raj Kumar Santoshi says that Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani will change people’s perception of you as an actress...
I am privileged that I keep getting chances to improve. Rajji is an actor’s director. He has taught me the different ways to approach a scene, react, and improvise. He has shown me in a different light and persona than what people have seen me so far in films. The role is completely different from Namaste London or New York.

In your earlier films, you have played an NRI girl and in this film you play a Catholic girl, Jennifer. Do you think directors write such roles for you because of your looks and English accent?
I have worked with the best directors in the industry and if they write roles keeping me in mind, then it’s a huge compliment. I don’t think an actor can wish for anything more.

What is the ghazab element you found in Ranbir while working with him?
We worked together for 96 days and the one thing which is nice about Ranbir is that he doesn’t take himself seriously. He doesn’t try to impress upon people that he is good-looking and stylish. He has no ego hassles. He just comes on the sets and does his job seriously. That makes it very easy for the co-star. The passion that he has for his work is inspiring.

You have worked with many senior actors How was it working with Ranbir, who is the same age as you?
I didn’t have to say ‘Good morning sir’. Also, everybody starts fighting over who will get to go home first. I didn’t have to stay till late in the night for my shots in most pf my movie gallery Because we are the same age, I could say, ‘Rajji please finish my shots first’.

Ranbir has said the relationship between Jennifer and his character Prem is like that between Laurel and Hardy. So who is Laurel and who is Hardy?
Ranbir is Laurel and I am Hardy. He is giving and I am receiving. In all my movie gallery I think I am always at the receiving end.

I get stabbed with a tire iron. It was freezing, and I was trying not to shake. Then I had to really scream and keep spitting out blood but I sucked it up and never complained once.

Always. I love Silence of the Lambs, and The Exorcist with many in movie gallery scared me as a kid. Scream was big, but Sorority Row is going to take over.

Q: You start filming your own reality show in November. Will your boyfriend, BMX racer Corey Bohan, be in it?

It will be about my whole life so yes. He's part of the family now. My mom and dad love him.

Speaking to In Touch Weekly about her recent split from boyfriend Corey Bohan, Audrina Patridge said at the Surfrider Foundation's 25th Anniversary Gala in L.A., "It's not bad. It was for the best". She didn't provide further explanation about the break-up though.

Generally speaking, the reality TV star simply admitted she found it hard to maintain a man seeking love relationship while having her life being put under the spotlight. "It makes it really hard, having people judge you on your fights and not knowing the whole story of what really went on," she complained.

Audrina Patridge began dating Corey Bohan, who is a BMX rider, in 2008 and he appeared in four episodes of her reality TV series "The Hills". JEISA – The Morumbi Fashion was very special. The first parade for Lagerfeld also. However, all are very special, all are worth remembering!

SITE EP – Which is the most unusual place where you’ve worked?
JEISA – The Oasis of SiuÃ¡, in Egypt, for the campaign of the H&M. It was very beautiful, inside one of the military reserves, very pretty!

SITE EP – What do you do during your free hours?
JEISA – I play tennis, I go to the cinema, I go to the house of my friends in Long Island and New Jerseyâ€¦ I have a lot of friends I could visit.

SITE EP – Who are they? Are they also from the fashion industry?
JEISA – Ah, well they are varied! Ana Beatriz Barros, shee is a close friend mine. Gilmar is also a close friend in NYâ€¦

SITE EP – Do you have a routine to keep your form?
JEISA – Regularly, five times a week. I have personal trainer, I take pilates and play a game of tennis whenever I can. I play more when I don’t have too much work to do.

SITE EP – Do you already think about the future?
JEISA – Not yet. I only think about my vacationsâ€¦

SITE EP – Where do you go?
JEISA – I have a short vacation on the 15th of July. I’ll have two weeks on a cruise like dating girls with my boyfriend. We’ll be going to Greece, the south of France, Turkey and CroÃ¡tia.

SITE EP – What do you plan to do when you end your modeling career?
JEISA - I always wanted to take architecture, but also I want to have a family not only be dating girls and have a lot of children!

Audrina Patridge feels "safe" now that the restraining order against her alleged stalker has been extended.

"The Hills" star was granted a three-year restraining order Wednesday against Zachory Loring – a 24-year-old Audrina Patridge who kept turning up on the front porch of her California home.

She had been granted a temporary one earlier this month, but it was about to expire. A TMZ camera captured a smiling Audrina Patridge photos 24, leaving the L.A. court.

"I feel safe," she said.

Patridge has claimed that Loring originally arrived at her door step to deliver wine, and then tried to hand her cards, drawings, poems and photos – one of which showed a woman being strangled.

He showed up again four days later, and Patridge called the cops who arrested him for trespassing.

On Wednesday, Patridge read one of the poems from the alleged stalker on the stand.

The judged called the evidence "quite disturbing," TMZ reports.

"It’s unfortunate that people who pursue careers in the public have to deal with these people," he said.

The restraining order also protects the reality show star’s brother Mark, since he lives with her.

Fashion Models Gives Beauty With Body Care Tips On Web

Both times that I was pregnant, people used to take one look at me and guess I was having a girl (once I wasn’t, the other time I was). This was their little way of saying, “Jesus, you look like shit.” The old wives’ tales go that you carry girls everywhere—i.e., you get fat all over—and that girls “steal their mothers fashion beauty.” (Don’t ask me why people think it’s okay to say things like that to pregnant women.)

As far as I could tell back then, there were two roads leading out of the delivery room: MILF or Mom Jeans. MILF is an acronym for “Mom I’d Like to F--k.” We’re talking Heidi Klum, Angelina, and all those other celebs whose gestational explosion and rapid postpartum subtraction are lovingly detailed in the pages of Us Weekly. “Mom Jeans,” on the other hand, is a parody commercial Tina Fey wrote for Saturday Night Live about elastic-waistbanded fashion soccer- mom jeans. The commercial’s tagline is “Give her something that says, ‘I’m not a woman anymore. I’m a mom.’” It’s supposedly the natural course of things: You push out a few kids, stop having sex, throw out your bikinis, and buy lots of cheap, shapeless clothing to cover your stretched-out stomach, breasts, hips, and vagina.

For some reason, women like to claim to be a Mom Jeans kind of gal, even when they look perfectly chic and lovely to you—especially when talking to a prospective mother. I interviewed Kate Hudson for British ELLE years ago and ended up telling her that I was trying to get pregnant. She sat before me, slender as a blade of grass, braless, dewily gorgeous and with least beauty care told me how her breasts were ruined by childbearing. “The old ex-udders,” she called them, ruefully, with a twangy cowgirl accent.

As soon as my baby bump popped the first time, women cornered me at cocktail parties to regale me with tales about their fourth-degree episiotomies, breasts that looked like “emptied-out Glad baggies,” poochy abdominals, and nonexistent sex lives. Part of this was undoubtedly hazing. However, I’ve come to think that the other part of it is that women—who under the best of circumstances tend to trash-talk their own bodies—don’t have any other script for discussing model agencies themselves as sexual beings once they become mothers. America has a terrible virgin-whore complex, and as a mother, you are neither virgin nor whore—you’re out of the loop. Very few people seem to talk or even think about mothers’ bodies or sex lives: I called and e-mailed a list of nationally recognized experts on women and sex to ask them about the place mothers have in our sexual culture, and their collective response can be summed up by the one who wrote back: “Not something I’ve thought about.”

Well, ladies, I have thought about it—probably too much, in fact. And I can say that I’ve finally come to a place where I actually like my post-reproductive body better than my untrammeled pre-baby self. If, like the vast majority of women in the United States, you’re thinking of having kids at some point (according to the National Organization for Women, 81 percent of women 40 to 44 years old are mothers), I have, after many years of body-image grappling, come up with a few pointers—which no pregnancy guide for young and beautiful web models or biddy will tell you—for surviving the transmogrification without losing your figure, your mind, or your sex life.

1. It’s all in your head. Research into the sex lives of mothers is notably sparse: When you type sex-and-childbirth-related terms into the government’s database of published research, you turn up as many items about cows as about women. A lot of the science that does exist only follows women for a short period and is conflicting or inconclusive. However, researchers at Northwestern University looked at a group of 542 twin sisters to see how reproductive history affected the women’s sex lives in the long term. They found almost no physical factor (mode of delivery, episiotomy, BMI) that impacted sexual satisfaction. But when they compared the 29 pairs of twins in which one had given birth and the other had not (admittedly a small sample), they found something interesting:

The mommies were significantly less happy with their sex lives and there was no apparent physical reason. “Childbirth appears to have a lasting impact on sexual function, due to psychological more than physical factors, well beyond the postpartum period,” the researchers concluded. And therein lies the truth about what having a baby does to your body: nothing that even mildly compares to how it screws with your head. You do have to actively combat the forces that conspire against your relationship with your partner and your existence as an autonomous human—and by forces, I mean your kids. Parenting requires ungodly amounts of sacrifice, but do not completely sacrifice the following: sex, exercise, date night, alone time, your beauty routine (you will shower less, for sure, but you will need makeup more than ever), or the Barneys shoe sale.

2. Heidi’s Law. A pregnant woman once asked Heidi Klum, the unrivaled queen of snap-back, whether she would look as fantastic as Klum post-baby. Klum’s reply? “I don’t know; what did you look like before you got pregnant?” Good point, Heidi! If you’re overweight and have never done a sit-up before you have a baby, you’re not going to have a six-pack after you push the kid out. Dennis Gross, MD, my favorite dermatologist, also pointed out to me that the more hours you’ve spent roasting your bikinied abdomen in the sun before you get pregnant (and during), the less likely you are to ever get back into that bikini like young models form model agencies Skin that’s been damaged by sun and aging won’t recover as well. (Although, if it’s looking like you’ll be an older mommy, take heart—at least one study has shown that older women are less likely to get stretch marks, perhaps because there are lower levels of elastin and collagen fibers in the skin to break.)

3. Heidi’s Law, Part Zwei. Klum may have spectacular genes on her side, but notice she doesn’t exactly let herself go during pregnancy. Eating for two is a total fallacy—the little buggers require a surprisingly parsimonious calorie intake (like, 300 calories extra a day, at their neediest). And studies show that the main risk for long-term pregnancy weight retention is gaining too much (more than 25 to 35 pounds). Large gains also put you at risk for medical complications, saggier beauty care skin, and cooking up an oversize baby (and oversize babies can lead to C-sections or trickier vaginal births, which are more likely to leave lasting damage and scars).

4. Think like a man. Okay, I’m going to level with you: This is not a risk-free enterprise. Having a kid can weaken the circumvaginal muscles and cause incontinence. (C-sections reduce but do not erase the risks; carrying a pregnancy to term, regardless of delivery mode, puts stress on all the muscles “down there.”) Obesity, episiotomy, and instrumental deliveries (when they have to use a forceps or vacuum extractor to get the baby out) can compound the problems. But male sexual partners don’t seem to notice a difference, or, if they do, they don’t care—just check out the volume of MILF porn web models on the Internet if you have any doubts. The only study I could find (which was done in Turkey! Not that it matters!) found no association between mode of delivery and men’s sexual satisfaction. In fact, it was the partners of women who’d never had a child who reported the lamest sex lives, though the difference was very small.

The Hartmanns are to appear in magazines and billboards all over the world after being asked to model the autumn/winter collection for Swedish fashion giant Gant.

The company's creative director Brian Rennie was looking for an authentic Scots family to front the campaign and thought the businesswoman's family fitted the bill. You can find some online modeling sites also where models used to create portfolio and post their pictures.

Tessa, 39, her husband Sascha, 40, and four children Tessie, 12, Natalya, 11, Johnnie, five, and Zachary, two, spent time in London and Inverness shooting the new catalogue.

The glamorous mum, who founded the Scottish Fashion Awards, is delighted about her family's international online modeling debut.

Tessa said: "Each year Brian picks a different country for his collection and this year his fierce patriotism made him choose Scotland.

"As well as the usual flurry of advertisement models he wanted to incorporate a Scottish family with lots of kids and asked if we were up for it. "Of course, we all jumped at the chance. We went to London to do the 'At Home with the Hartmanns' for the Home catalogue and my girls did Gant kids' wear in London's Hyde Park for the main ad campaign.

Tessa said: "My girls are convinced they want to be models beauties not sure about that one but we'll go with it for now."Despite their tender years, they are very wise. Having a mum who's worked in fashion for almost 20 years, they know it's not always as glamorous as it looks."

The Hartmanns worked alongside several of the world's top models, including Swede Caroline Winberg - who has done campaigns for Valentino and has been on the cover of Vogue - and US heart-throbs Cory Bond and Michael Batiste.

"The company are constantly expanding into new markets and this year I put Gant on the catwalk for the first time at Berlin Fashion Week and it went down a storm." L'Oréal has signed a global advertising deal with the Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole the sexy model that will initially see her front the launch of a range of beauty products targeting UK women.

Cole, who has been signed on an initial one-year deal, is the first British woman to be signed by L'Oreal Paris since a young sexy model Kate Moss in 1998.

"I have always loved the brand and have always wanted to say the iconic phrase 'because you're worth it' so to be given that opportunity is absolutely amazing," said Cole. "Every woman has the right to feel beautiful and L'Oréal Paris the beauty product giant makes that aspiration achievable".

Cole will appear in a major TV ad campaign in October following the launch of a new range, Elvive Full Restore 5, in the UK next month. It is the first time that L'Oréal Paris has launhced a standalone product range specifically for the UK market.

L'Oréal's stable of "faces" is primarily made up of US stars – such as Eva Longoria Penelope Cruz Jennifer Aniston and Beyoncé – although it has also signed the Indian actor Freida Pinto of Slumdog Millionaire fame.

"The company is very international and we have a lot of US signings and we felt we were missing a UK celebrity," said Gayle Tait, general manager of beauty product company L'Oréal Paris. "We researched a number of options but Cheryl just tested so well with the UK public. She is considered the nation's sweetheart and is held on great affection by the British public. We sign on personality as much as anything."

Tait said that signing an initial one-year deal with Cole was standard practice but the L'Oréal had a practice of developing long-term relationships with its stars.

"We don't tend to [end out] signing people for a year. We look for long-term commitments to develop," she said.

He's got a second chance at life...and he's doing whatever it takes to make every moment count in all 21 Second Season episodes of the clever, critically acclaimed series, "Life". Golden Globe(R) Award nominee Damian Lewis returns as Charlie Crews, an eccentric detective returning to the force after being wrongfully imprisoned. Back on the beat many modelling agencies with his determined partner, Dani Reese (Sarah Shahi), and his unusually Zen-like outlook toward the sentence from the writer’s strike. I guess it was given a chance in its second season, but the ratings failed to materialize. It didn’t help that some real life incidences caused the show to be rewritten and one of the main characters to disappear.

Charlie Crews (Damian Lewis) was a cop wrongly convicted of murder and given a life sentence. It took twelve years, but Crews was later exonerated; released from prison; given a hefty financial settlement as news in many blogs and had his badge reinstated.

Crews return was not seen favorably at police headquarters and he was partnered with another damaged cop Det. Dani Reese (Sarah Shahi) who is a recovering drug addict and alcoholic. Crews and Reese uncover the real murderer behind the murders Crews was blamed for but they don’t really find out the reason why the murders were committed and to Russian mobster Roman Nevikov (Garrett Dillahunt).

This season deals with those reasons. This season also features a new boss for the duo, Capt. Kevin Tidwell (Donal Logue) who begins romancing one of them… no it’s not Charlie.

Crews and Reese are also on the track of a serial killer as well as other mysteries. When Reese is called onto assignment with the FBI, Charlie is partnered with Det. Jane Seever played by one of the famous black actresses Gabrielle Union. There’s always some fresh fruit to look forward to though.

The writers’ strike did no favors for the first season of Life and real life events would do no favors for its second one. It would lead to the cancellation of the series. This season found Sarah Shahi coming down with an advanced case of pregnancy and the writers had to find a way to account for the absence of web models like her character. The problem is that this retooling of the show led to the episodes going downhill.

Though her replacement is a good actress, the character that tries to step into Reese’s shoes finds them too big. She with black actresses like Gabrielle Union just doesn’t have the banter and camaraderie that Reese did with Crews. The finale also seems to take Crews out of character, but I do suppose that it’s good that the show did get to have one.

The acting is wonderful, with Damian Lewis being a standout, but the departure of a major character seemed to throw the show off track and it never recovered.

Life is presented in anamorphic widescreen (1.78:1) and is enhanced for 16x9 televisions. Special features include web models like commentaries on four episodes, deleted scenes, and a gag reel.

Life is affected by real life this time around and as in real life it doesn’t turn out the way we want it to. The show would end up on the pile of good television shows that never had the ratings through many blogs but it still is good television. The acting is excellent and we’ll always have the two seasons the show was on.

The celebrities were in full force at the Cinema Society and Hugo Boss screening of Inglorious Basterds. Everyone famous super model with Quentin Tarantino to Lindsay Lohan to Chace Crawford came out for the show and showed off themselves.

Quentin just couldn't stop talking about Brad Pitt. Seriously. It's like he wants Brad for himself or something. "For the most part when we were on set he would stay in character," Quentin told reporters. "It was like, 'Why drop the accent when you don't have to?' And I have always liked it when actors do that."

In case you don't know, Brad plays Lieutenant Aldo Raine in the film set against the back drop of WWII with Aldo, a nice Southern boy, hunting Nazi with his Nazi hunter party. Brad went totally method on this one. He was in character from the moment he got on set to the moment he left and Quentin ate it up. "He'd get into Aldo's mindset and stay there. He could be Brad and make a Brad joke but it was always in Aldo's dialect. Aldo is more crude than Brad. So that allowed Brad to go all the way with that. It was wonderful with model Carolyn Murphy as a writer to be confronted by my character all day, and to talk to him and ask questions."

While Quentin was busy gushing about Brad, my eyes obviously went to newly hired and recently blonded beauty face Lindsay Lohan. It seems like she's not doing a good job of keeping that blonde hair up. I'm seeing lots of red roots and it's not cute. Not at all. Lindsay, I thought we talked about this. Rhoda studied at the Academy of the Holy Cross, a Catholic all-girls’ school, which she admits has helped shape her values in life.

She believes in being down-to-earth and having a positive attitude.

“In my profession, I have to deal with make-up artistes, stylists, and photographers. I am always open to suggestions as they are the professionals.”

She has a close relationship with her family, comprising mum, dad, and an older brother who’s in university in Philadelphia.

Her mother accompanies her on her modelling stints whenever possible.

So how does it feel to be young, rich, and famous?

“I don’t think I have changed much. I try to go home as much as I can, sometimes for a week if I can find the time. It’s very nice to stay close to the family and NYC (New York City) is just a few hours away,” says Rhoda.

“I still do the things I love, like biking and hanging out with friends,” says Rhoda, admitting she was “a bit of a tomboy” while growing up.

Now she finds equal pleasure in girly things like sharing makeup and beauty tips with her old school friends and letting them know about the latest Estee Lauder promotions.

Rhoda is full of praise for the company that “launched” her face.

“My mum and grandmother have been using Estee products for years and I have seen the results of all those creams and lotions.

“That’s how I started using them myself,” says Rhoda, who personally likes the new Advanced Night Repair (ANR) cream for its light texture.

“People think the ANR is just for older women but that’s not true. It helps protect skin against damage and I believe the best way to do so is to start young,” she adds.

Rhoda’s favourite scent is Sensuous, a perfume she launched together with three other famous Estee Lauder faces: internet models Carolyn Murphy and actresses Elizabeth Hurley and Gwyneth Paltrow.

On what the word “sensuous” means to her, Rhoda replies, “I think of ‘sensuous’ as being strong and confident. It’s a woman in her most natural state.

“I think a woman can be sensuous at all ages.

“I immediately think of women who are older, such as Racquel Welch or Catherine Deneuve, because you can see that they are so comfortable even for actors this is true with themselves and in their own skin. But you can also see it in women in their 20s and 30s.”

And when does she herself feel sensuous?

“Sometimes, it’s when I’m wearing really comfortable clothes and feel very natural. Dancing, playing a sport, running ... is sensuous. A steaming cup of espresso after a nice meal is sensuous.

“But, mostly, it’s when you’re having fun and enjoying your life.”

Omar Bongo, Gabon's longest standing president, died in June after more than four decades in office. The nation will choose his successor on August 30, and Mika believes a civil war is likely if his son, Ali Bongo, seizes control. "Even if people do vote for opposition parties, the ruling party will just come up with their own figures and seize power, as happened in Kenya last year.”

Dr Kodi accused Omar Bongo of keeping Gabon in poverty by siphoning off the wealth from the nation's reserves of oil, diamonds and uranium to fund his lavish lifestyle and bribe foreign statesmen into supporting his regime.

He gave warning that Ali Bongo would in all probability be no less corrupt than his father, and urged internet models like Mika to forge ahead with her campaign regardless of its likely failure.

“If nothing else, it will educate people in Gabon about democracy, because they have never had so much political space as they do now the imposing figure of Omar Bongo is dead,” he said.

Stars Freddie Highmore and Kristen Bell talked to Paul Fischer at Comic Con.

Question: How are you interpreting Astro Boy, and what is your take on Astro Boy?

Highmore: I think he's a fantastic character to be able to play. I think that - he's been around for ages in Japan. You know, he's almost - he's their Mickey Mouse. You know, he's their sort of national icon, in terms of animation. And it's an amazing opportunity to be able to play him, and just to show to America and other countries that haven't heard of him so much, what he's all about.

Question: Did you have a lot of action scenes in that film? What are that cool things you get to do?

Highmore: Well, Astro Boy's a pretty cool guy. But I think that the film is, in general, a great -

Bell: Just tell them about your sexy model butt, in this movie. Cut right to the chase.

Highmore: I do have machine guns in my butt, yeah. Which is good.

Bell: Well? And there you go.

Highmore: They come in handy.

Question: Kristen, who are you in this? What's your role?

Bell: I play Cora, who is a girl that lives on the surface of the Earth. Because all the people now live in Metro City, which is floating above, because we've destroyed the surface of the Earth. And when Astro is rejected by his father and falls down to the surface of the earth, he meets Cora. And my the super model who endorsed many beauty product says character is sort of the maternal ringleader for this group of runaway kids. So, she keeps them together like a little family, and they accept Astro wholeheartedly. And there is a little bit of a rift when they find out he's a robot.

Question: Is there a green message to it?

Bell: There is. Not one that's shoved down your throat. It's just an undertone. But there are a lot of different messages present in this movie that were not shoved down your throat by any means, which Kristen Bell really, really respect. The fact that we destroy the surface of the Earth - it's just there. They don't really go into it. Also, about being accepted, and people who feel rejected, and not judging a book by its cover. And - I deal with the robots being everyone's servants and second class citizens, and be careful how close you get to them - they're not human beings, they're not real. And then when you meet Astro, how he's got all these emotions, and you're sort of faced with, how do you judge him? Do you accept him for who he is, or do you just tell him, "No, you're a robot. You're not allowed to feel."

Question: So, is Astro like the devil because you set it up that everybody's living in the sky, and he falls to Earth?

Highmore: No, there are a lot of deep levels there. He reminds me of Pinocchio, because - I mean, Dr. Tenma loses his son, and wants to recreate him, and so he creates Astro Boy, who's programmed with the memories of his son, and has human emotions. And to me, it's sort of a bit like Pinocchio, in that Pinocchio's a boy, but he can never be accepted, because he's made of wood. And I think that's similar - definitely at the start of the movie - with Astro Boy. Because he's a robot. There's still a barrier between him and the human world. And yeah, as actress who endorsed many beauty product Kristen was saying, he just wants to be accepted.

Question: What kind of personality traits does a robot like Astro Boy have? I mean, what did you feel like you brought out in a non-human character?

Highmore: I think he's a human character, to be honest. His brain is totally human. And it's just his body that's robotic. Yeah. I mean, it's - it's a tricky question.

Question: What's his personality like?

Highmore: He's a nice guy. I think that he wants to solve everything by being nice to people. And sometimes it doesn't - you know, that's not the best means to solve things. Sometimes you've got to be a little bit nasty, I think. You know, sometimes violence is necessary. But I think Astro Boy - you know, throughout the film, he stays true to his ideal of a world with non-violence, and everyone -

Bell: He's a lover, not a fighter, but he might be forced to fight.

Question: But he's got a lot of guns.

Bell: In his butt.

Question: Were you kind of surprised, Freddie, that they came to you with this? Because - I mean, the Japanese Astro Boy - I can't quite see the similarity.

Highmore: Yeah. I mean, all the other actors were fantastic, so I guess I'm lucky to be a part of it.

Question: Was it difficult for you to put your own spin on the character?

Highmore: No, not particularly. I think I made it my own. I didn't refer too much to previous versions. There's a ‘60s TV program in America, and - yeah, I think you've just got to make it your own. And I think it's a good film.

Question: Kristen, you're emerging as one of the funniest women in film. Why do we see so few beautiful women who are funny as well?

Bell: I think it's one of the hardest things, to be a woman and be funny, and not be completely and utterly self-deprecating. And for a long time, people have been at odds with accepting that. And I think now, with all the amazing, beautiful, kind, wonderful comediennes, like KristinWiig, or from model search Amy Poehler, Tina Fey - they're creating a new character that we can all sort of open up to, which is funny, and a great role model.

As for when the sequel falls into production, writer Mark Millar, as reported by Superhero Hype!, stated that the script has been completed and the filmmakers are going to start shooting in eight weeks time. There’s a new playhouse in Hollywood and it’s making a lot of noise. New York nightlife impresario Rob Vinokur, who brought you Crobar and Elie Samaha, have successfully launched Hollywood's most buzzed about, first South Beach style night club in Los Angeles, Playhouse Hollywood.

Playhouse debuted on July 9th, and it's unlike any other Los Angeles club. The space can hold over 1,000 party animals including super model actors and other famous personalites and a lighting system that will remind you of any Las Vegas club.There will also be a 24-hour diner, Sweet Love Hangover, connected to Playhouse and located in the front of the venue (entrance from Hollywood Blvd).

One of the hot nights to play at playhouse is Thursday with resident deejay, DJ Vice. This past Thursday night, TV host beauty face Vanessa Minnillo with super model Alessandra Ambrosio was spotted celebrating her freedom while dancing on stage next to Vice as he spun beats.

Are those old wives’ tales that haunt our beauty regimes based on fact or merely fiction handed down from mother to daughter?

THOSE old wives sure were busy dreaming up myths to make us worry about our beauty routines: if we aren't being entreated to give our hair 100 strokes of the brush (don't, it'll only make it greasier quicker), then we're advised to use Preparation H for under-eye bags (avoid, it's way too greasy for such delicate skin). Shaving won't make hair grow back thicker (the ends are blunt, which can just make it appear that way) and cutting your eyelashes is absolutely no good if you want to make them grow longer. Pruning only works on rose bushes, so put the nail scissors down.

Another popular one is that old plucking-out-the-grey-hairs chestnut. "Don't!" screeches the nearest aul wan, "three will grow back in its place!" Nope -- they won't. It's physically impossible for the action of plucking one hair from a follicle to encourage hair growth in triplicate, worry not.

So, what else have you been told over the years that's down-right ridiculous, and are any of those oft-parroted beauty myths actually true?

Myth #1: DOES SKINCARE JUST STOP WORKING?

A lot of people claim that their skincare suddenly doesn't work for them any more. The know-it-all boffins at thebeautybrains.com say that unless the product has been reformulated with new ingredients, then this is likely to be due to a mix of different factors.

"There is no direct mechanism that we're aware of for your skin to become 'immune' to the effects of cosmetic skincare products," most super model say, but they do point out that environmental factors such as the weather, your stress levels and the ageing process can all fool us into thinking our face cream isn't doing the business any more, when in fact it's our skin that's changed.

FACT OR FICTION? Fiction. What we need in winter may be different to what our skin requires in summer, and in particular, 30 is a biological marker for women. Our skin needs different things once we've passed the dreaded three-zero, and we should adapt our routines to suit.

Myth #2: DON'T PLUCK ABOVE THE BROW

A beauty entreaty as earnestly adhered to as the Ghostbusters' aversion to crossing the streams, we're often left wondering why this is such a bad idea. It's not, according to threading guru Shavata, but she does add a qualifier: "It is true that the majority of the hair you remove when shaping your brows should be from underneath the eyebrow." Most people don't need to have too much taken away on top, and you can often get away with doing the minimum here.

FACT OR FICTION? Fiction. Brows need tidying both up and downstairs. "Use a very accurate pair of pointed tweezers so you remove only the hairs that you want to," advises Shavata.

Myth #3: COFFEE CAN CURE CELLULITE

Super model of the 90s Cindy Crawford is said to be a fan of rubbing coffee grounds on her posterior to keep bum and thighs toned and cellulite-free, and in fact, a lot of anti-cellulite products such as Shiseido's Body Creator Aromatic Sculpting Concentrate as beauty product include caffeine. But, um, why? Scientists have proven that it can speed up cell metabolism, and that means it can help with the elimination of toxins which are thought to cause the problem in the first place.

FACT OR FICTION? This one is half and half. While we know caffeine can help with the battle of the bulge, there is no topical cream -- or coffee-pot leftover -- that can cure orange-peel skin all on its own. Instead, a combination of body brushing and regular massage using a cream containing active ingredients such as caffeine is likely to have the best results.

Myth #4: CHOCOLATE CAUSES ACNE

Teenagers the land over have the hands slapped off them as they reach for a bar of chocolate, but does eating chocolate really lead to acne? "No," says Marissa Carter of Dún Laoghaire's Carter Beauty and Acne Clinic. "Acne is caused by a sensitivity to hormones, but chocolate can cause an imbalance in sugar levels, leading to highs and lows. That can trigger a disruption in hormones, which could cause a pimple. But it's not the same thing as triggering acne," she reveals.

FACT OR FICTION: Fiction, but if you're prone to breakouts then Carter recommends that you lay off any food that causes blood sugar to spike and fall. "Stick to a hormone-friendly diet such as Low GI or one that's high in omega oils," she advises.

Myth #5: CAN YOU USE LANACANE AS FACIAL PRIMER?

This is a newbie that's doing the internet rounds: Lanacane Anti-Chafing Gel is being touted as the next big thing in facial primers. Sounds utterly gross, until you take a look at the ingredient listing. High up there is dimethicone, a silky, refined silicone that's also found in Smashbox's cult Photo Finish Primer.

The ingredient is used to provide 'slip' in the Lanacane product to minimise painful skin friction. In Photo Finish, it provides a smooth, silky canvas for foundation application as the tips on internet says. This is a very well tolerated ingredient and you'll often find it, or a variant of it, in facial moisturisers, too.

FACT OR FICTION: Fact. There's no harm in giving this a try, especially if you're on a budget. But be wary of using something like this every day as it's a good idea to give skin a break from heavy layers of product.

Natalie Sangster World Best Beauty Model

Next month Waikato University student Natalie Sangster is jetting off to represent New Zealand at an international beauty pageant. Kate Monahan chats to the 20-year-old about her preparations, and what it takes to be a modern Miss World.

It's a busy morning at Hydro cafe in Hamilton East, and there is a buzz in the air. The fragrant smell of fresh coffee, the bustle of service and friends talking. But when waitress Natalie Sangster walks through the cafe, heads turn.

The tall blonde, a second year teaching student at Waikato University, is different from your typical waitress.

Today, the cafe crowd have one of New Zealand's most beauty young model serving them coffee.

In April Sangster was named first runner up in the Miss World NZ contest. The winner, Magdalena Schoeman of Christchurch, is heading to South Africa to represent New Zealand in the Miss World international competition in December.

Sangster, who came second, flies to Zhengzhou, China next month to compete in Miss Tourism Queen International, up against women from more than 80 countries. The Chinese-based pageant, established in 2004, promotes tourism development, friendship and international culture exchange.

Sangster will be in China from August 7 to 30, competing in multiple competitions to vie for the crown.

It was a case of one door closing and another opening, that sent Sangster on her current path.

She almost didn't apply for the Miss World New Zealand contest.

A chance meeting with New Zealand's next top model judge Colin Mathura-Jeffrees gave her the idea. "I'd auditioned for New Zealand's next top model and during judging Colin said, 'you are not right for the show but enter this'. I thought, why not?"

Sangster is glad, in retrospect, she never made the cut for the reality show. "It's quite bitchy and I don't know if I would want to be exposed in that light," she says.

Being placed as first runner up in Miss World New Zealand was an overwhelming experience. "I burst into tears, it was a little embarrassing," recalls Sangster.

She says her experience of beauty world is not what most people expect. "You see all the American stories of the pageants and you go in expecting girls to be catty. But everyone was so nice."

Miss Tourism Queen International is expected to be very competitive. Sangster needs a whole wardrobe of outfits, including cocktail dresses and gowns, a national costume and a disco outfit. "One of the competitions is a big dance off," she explains. "I hope I don't freeze on stage."

Although Miss World New Zealand was Sangster's first major beauty pageant, she's participated in a lot of smaller local contests, which have helped with confidence and poise. This year she's also scooped Miss Waihi 2009, Miss O-Week (at Waikato University) and Miss Rural Bachelorette at the New Zealand National Agricultural Fieldays 2009. In 2008 she was named Miss Outback.

Down-to-earth and friendly, it's hard to imagine Sangster on the stage, strutting her stuff in a bikini and heels. In person, she's nothing like how most people imagine a beauty queen to be. Apart from some mascara, her face is clean of makeup, and she's happy to make jokes at her own expense as she tucks into a salmon and rocket salad at Hydro.

"When I'm not doing that I'm at uni and I'm a real trackpants and hoody girl," says Sangster.

As a teenager, Sangster says she wasn't a glamour girl. "I was a real retard," she says. "I had braces and I was a real geek, in the Shakespeare Club." Spending time at performing arts school in the UK gave her a new-found confidence.

Dancing is a passion. Sangster started dance lessons at five, and continued it through her years at Sacred Heart Girls College. At 18, Sangster took "a gap year" and went to England, attending Tring Park School for the Performing Arts just outside London, widely regarding as one of the leading performing arts schools in the UK. Famous alumni include Thandie Newton (Crash, Mission Impossible II) and Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman).

Now in her second year of a teaching degree at Waikato University, Sangster hopes to become a high school dance and drama teacher.

She is a cheerleader for the Waikato Chiefs rugby team, training twice a week and dancing at games. She also cheers for the Waikato Pistons basketball team and is with the Suzuki cheerleaders at Fieldays.

Her friends in the Chiefs cheer squad have been supportive. "They come to competitions with big signs and they are my personal bronzers and do my hair," she laughs. "They sit at the front and go crazy. Some of them I've known since I was five, or from third form. One friend, Jenna McLauchlan, made a dress for me to wear at Miss Tourism Queen International."

However, she has faced some criticism from friends and strangers about her pageant and cheerleading endeavours. "Sometimes people are surprised that you can be a cheerleader and do beauty stuff, and also well at school," says Sangster, who also is involved with community work, helping teach dance to students at Melville Intermediate.

Sangster is also being assisted by local business people. Staff from Ktizo are teaching her how to do her own hair and makeup (contestants at Miss Tourism Queen International are expected to do that themselves).

Her boss at Hydro, Susie Steiner, and Hydro regular, Paul Barnett, a local property consultant, have helped out financially with high cost competition entry fees.

Contours gym is giving her a free membership and a weekly session with a personal trainer, to help her tone up for the contest. "It's all about the old fashioned hard slog," says Sangster, who tries to go to the gym every day. "I hurt a lot of the time. I've found muscles I didn't know even existed."

It's the bikini section that has her most worried. "Colin (Mathura-Jeffrees) rang me and I asked him what to do, and he said, 'make sure you don't have any wobbly bits' and to keep up my fitness while I'm (in China)."

Sangster is also trying to get sponsorship from a New Zealand fashion designer for gowns to wear. But it's her family who have really helped out on the fashion front. "My mother (Fran) made all my dresses for Miss World New Zealand," says Sangster. "She's made all my ballet costume my whole life, so that helps. My brother Michael (17) designed a Maori pattern for my national costume. It was a bit of a family affair."

The beauty pageant in China is expected to be a step up from the New Zealand competition. "I think I will add some paua to my costume, glitz it up a bit," says Sangster. "I will be up against Venezuela and Brazil and they have some amazing costumes."

As for the other contestants, Sangster is unsure how she will stack up. "The girl that went last year told me that she was only one of about six or seven girls who hadn't had plastic surgery. It's quite extreme, fake hair extensions and all that."

Sangster is against plastic surgery. "If I had to change myself that much, it wouldn't be worth it. I am happy with myself as I am."

It looks like Sangster has a good chance of making it through to the semi-final round by popularity alone. She is currently in first place on the Miss Tourism Queen International website (misstqi.com) with the highest number of (paid) public votes.

Sangster says beauty pageants have evolved. "It's not about beauty now, but how you can make a difference," says Sangster. "You have to have the whole package."

Let us backtrack just a smidgen and it becomes clear that Estella's modeling career gathered momentum when she decided to send a couple of the Polaroids from an old high-school show to an agent in New York. What happened next is simple - she was signed up for a contract and forever became a part of high-flying fashion industry. It sounds all too easy...

Right out of the blocks, the Canadian lass was being photographed by the likes of industry big-wig Ellen Von Unwerth, who is the kind of photographer who choses her subjects very carefully, and was a huge boost for the young Canadian. Upon looking back, Estella said: "I thought it would be fun but it was hard work".

Having been a professional swimmer, getting cold, half-naked and wearing figure-hugging clothes has never been a problem for the leggy blonde and she has the utmost confidence in herself, which shines through in almost all of her shoots. "Coming from a barely clothed childhood as a swimmer makes me really comfortable with my body."

Her first major shoots were for the Italian edition of Vogue - three times over, in fact!

But the campaign that would cement her position in the industry forever was the famed Chanel No.5. filmed Hollywood detractuer, Luc Besson. Estella's role as Little Red Riding Hood struck a chord with millions of women around the world and a supermodel with a long-lasting flavour was born.

She gained even more publicity - some good, some bad - after shoots with famous click-artist Bruce Weber. The images are still considered controversial to this day, and the provocative images of Estella could be viewed high up on New York on billboards all across the highly populated and sometimes scary city. Some of the shots were banned because of their notorious subject matter, but it didn't phase the fun-loving Canadian - in fact she received international publicity for it, which led to her next assignment.

Victoria's Secret, where only the best-of-the-best get an entry card, was next on her long list of objectives to conquer. Following this lucrative sojourn, next on her list was the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which she appeared in, not to mention playing the role of host for the accompanying video, all of which are worth massive dollars and would have given her bank balance a very sweet boost.

She went on to score the people's votes too, gaining the titles of Maxim magazine's hottest babe and UK GQs number one as well, proving that men as well as women fashion were stunned by her physical beauty. From here, she had a yearning for acting, which always seems to be the case for models. Why? It probably comes down to being the centre of attention, and could be that "me, me, me" thing...

If I sound jealous that's probably because I am. Some chicks get it all, and what do I get? Freedom to write what I want... Hey, that's not so bad actually! Maybe I should stop complaining. Maybe I'm just blind to the fact that I'm much luckier than perhaps two thirds of this planet's population, some of whom don't even have homes. Back to the point of girls model emergence in Hollywood, and she has starred in the movies Driven and Planet of the Apes early in the millennium, followed by the disdainful Kangaroo Jack (it gave marsupials a bad name), The Cooler, and she appeared in a couple of Law & Order episodes in 2005, adding TV credits to her ever increasing resume. In 2006 she starred in Pucked, which is best described as utter garbage, and can be seen in the upcoming movie Taphephobia (2006) which sounds quite spooky, and is based on the premise of a bloke waking up buried in a coffin, with nothing to keep him company but claustrophobia and a mobile phone.

Estella Warren isn't a terribly poor actor, it's just that movies she chooses (or scrapes from the bottom of Hollywood's scripting barrel as it were) are complete and utter stinkers. Poo! What's that smell? Here's hoping she gets that break though, which could come with Irreversi in 2007, which was still shooting at the time of writing; a thriller about the effects that a huge cash payout has on a married couple.

Victory For Linford Christie's Niece As She Becomes First black Miss England

Her ambition is to follow in her uncle's speedy footsteps and win Olympic gold.

For Rachel Christie, that dream is still at least three years away. In the meantime, however, the 20- year-old niece of Linford Christie has just won another title – becoming the first ever black Miss England.

The professional track and field athlete swapped her running gear for high heels and a glamorous dress to win the contest on Monday night.

It means 5ft 10in Miss Christie will have to juggle her training schedule again as she prepares to face another hurdle – a bid for the Miss World crown in South Africa later this year.

But her win was under something of a cloud after the contest's website showed that she had gained only nine votes in the public voting part of the competition, compared with fellow finalist Zoiey Smale, who got 2,013.

Although 20-year-old Miss Smale won the public vote, that was only enough to secure her a place in the last 15 of the final. In the event, she did not finish in the top three.

Part-time model Miss Christie had been one of the favourites to win Miss England, after being crowned Miss London City in May.

But she nearly did not make the contest after a car crash on Friday left her with whiplash and bruised legs. More used to being put through her paces on the running track – by her uncle or his former coach, Ron Roddan – Miss Christie was yesterday getting used to a whirl of beauty pageant publicity.

Speaking of her win, which she greeted with tears, she said: 'It means the world; it really does mean so much to me.

'One of my reasons for doing Miss England in the first place was because I wanted to show people, the younger generation especially, that you can do something positive with your life.

Miami Beach swimwear fashion shows

MIAMI BEACH, Stylish sun worshippers, take note. Sophisticated sexy is the theme for next year's swimwear.

That's the trend designers began unveiling in their 2010 swim collections at the Mercedes-Benz fashion week Swim at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach. The five-year-old event, which kicked off with a party on Wednesday and ends Sunday, continues to grow, with 20 runway shows and presentations this year, the most to date.

Tibi, Caffe Swimwear and Marysia Swim were the first three lines to show their designs on Thursday night.

At Tibi, designer Amy Smilovic used batik and ikat prints that she enlarged to make designs that were inspired by Indonesia. Smilovic, who said she was also inspired by the minimalist designs of the 1990s, sent models down the runway in colourful bikinis and one-pieces. She accented many looks with chunky cuff bracelets and large earrings, mostly in gold.

One model walked down the runway in a one-piece, floral-print bandeau bathing suit. There was also a purple, one-shouldered suit, picking up the goddess silhouette already popular in ready-to-wear; a blue maillot with pink, light blue, orange and yellow paillettes, and a gold one-piece.

Smilovic's coverups got rave reviews from model Kelly Killoren Bensimon of "The Real Housewives of New York City," who was in the audience. Her favourite, she said, was a long fuchsia creation. "I thought the prints were really authentic."

Smilovic used a lot of hot pink, turquoise and bright greens. "Just like in a regular collection, when you see someone in a Tibi, I want people to know right away it's a Tibi bikini," she said.

And there were a lot of bikinis to see. There were string bikinis and others with bandeau and triangle cups. One bikini mixed orange and purple, while another featured aqua and beige. What to wear over it?

Maybe a pink jumpsuit, an orange dress with straps made of rope, a long gold linen dress or a blue silk romper. A model also wore a black coverup beaded around the neck with yellow, white, pink and green stones.

Smilovic said the bathing suits cost from $175 to $218 and the coverups range from $140 to $480. The Tibi girl, she says, "is strong. She is confident. She loves getting dressed." The suits were paired with gold or silver high-heel sandals from Tibi's collection.

Caffe Swimwear designer Paula Saavedra put the jewelry right on her sexy suits. There was a white, low-cut one-piece with embellishment around the neck. Some bikinis were held together with gold pieces. Another was a white halter "trikini" - basically a white bikini held together with a large chunk of gold hardware, which had colourful material woven over the middle of it. Models walked down the runway in platform gold shoes and oversized straw bags that evoked a hippie feeling.

"It's a luxury you can wear," Saavedra said. "Glamorous, but still looks comfortable."

The bohemian feeling of the 1960s inspired her, she said. She didn't want the standard carbon-copy bikinis, so she created suits that seemed purposely mismatched, like a solid white bottom and a multicoloured top. Bathing suits are priced between $160 to $200 and coverups start at $200 and go to $300.

At Marysia Swim it was all about girlish play. For her first fashion show at the swim week, designer Maria Reeves - also known by her nickname Marysia - sent some models down the runway in tutus, a gesture to her childhood when she studied ballet. "I wanted to add a little twist to it," she said.

She certainly did add a little glitz to her retro-looking suits. There were added zippers, a large bow on the sleeve of a beach dress, gold studs and of course, lots of ruffles. "I'm pairing the neutral colours with punches of pink, peach," she said.

Some of her bikinis had high waists that were reminiscent of the 1950s. Each piece, which costs about $100, can be mixed and matched. They don't necessarily have to be sold as a set.

A model walked down the runway with a little girl wearing a bikini model of Marysia's red one-piece with yellow ruffles. There was also a peach romper and a champagne-coloured one-shouldered coverup.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday at the poolside party at the art deco Raleigh Hotel in South Beach, partygoers drank French martinis and listened to house music as they sweated through their summer frocks because of the tropical heat.

Following their testing time on the reailty show “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here”, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were able to fit in some five star luxury at the Four Seasons resort in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

The day before returning to Los Angeles (June 12), the “Hills” co-star couple strolled along the sand, with Heidi stopping to pick up some sea shells on the shoreline.

After getting a little rest and making out on a sun lounger, the recently married reality couple did a little kayaking and frolicked by an inflatable water trampoline.

Model Danielle Lloyd Attacked By Two Women

Model Danielle Lloyd has had emergency surgery after she was attacked by two women at a West End nightclub.

She was out with friends, including footballer boyfriend Jamie O'Hara, when the assault happened at the Crystal Nightclub in the early hours of Monday.

Ms Lloyd suffered wounds to her back and leg after being thrown on to a table of drinks at the London venue.

Her management said she had emergency surgery for a serious leg wound. Two women were arrested over the attack.

They were held by police on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and bailed until July.

Ms Lloyd, a former Big Brother contestant, also needed stitches.

A statement from the model's management company said: "Danielle sustained a serious wound to her back which required stitches upon arrival at hospital."

She was with six friends at the time of the attack, including Tottenham Hotspur player Mr O'Hara, her management said.

Danielle Lloyd became famous when she won the Miss Great Britain beauty contest in 2006 but was stripped of the title for her prior involvement with footballer Teddy Sheringham, one of the judges of the beauty contest.

Enjoying the beautiful weather in the South of France, Hayden Panettiere was spotted having fun on a wave runner earlier today (May 22) off the coast of Antibes.

The “I Love You Beth Cooper” cutie looked super hot in a white two-piece bikini as she chilled out on a luxury yacht in between rides in the jet ski.

Last night, Hayden was all about being charitable as she attended the amfARCinema Against Aids 2009 benefit at the Hotel duCap.

She posed alongside David Furnish (Elton John’s boyfriend), looking amazing in her evening gown. Other celebrities in attendance were Guy Ritchie, Sharon Stone, and producer Harvey Weinstein.

Heroes cheerleader Hayden Panettiere, who's been chilling in France for the Cannes Film Festival this week, took to the water with a pal on Friday and rode the waves like she owns them.

It seems like the 30-year-old actress will use any excuse to brag about how she confidently told her sisters that she was going to marry Tom Cruise. "It wasn't like, 'How do I get Tom Cruise?' It was just: 'I think I'm going to marry him. Why not? He'll like me. I'm fun,'" says Tom's better half.

And now the starlet is gushing to Glamour model about her all too perfectly normal life saying, “We’re all together. We like to be together, so we use the house for our (business) meetings. (We) play Yahtzee, board games, Scrabble. We grill; have pool parties. We play The Three Little Pigs and Suri is the Big Bad Wolf. (Tom) reads storybooks to Suri, and we all laugh. When a good song comes on, he’ll break out in a dance. We’ll watch movies in bed - recently Madagascar and Cinderella, for Suri. We really have a good time.”

But that's not all Suri's mommy has been up to lately. Katie has also teamed up with stylist Jeanne Yang to create a line of children's clothing. The match-up was destined says Kate, who revealed that the duo had already begun sketching comfortable, yet pretty, clothing for their daughters.

And although Katie is extremely happy with her recent endeavors, she divulges that if they ever got in the way of mommy-hood, she'd happily give them all up.

"Becoming a mother has been the most amazing experience - in an instant you become strong," says Katie. "You have to be a little bit wiser; it’s the most important job in the world.”

Glamour magazine honored the 2008 Women of the Year with a star-studded gathering at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Monday evening. Entertainment was provided by musician Fergie.

Kate Beckinsale, Lily Allen and the Spice Girls picked up gongs at the Glamour Women of the Year awards on Tuesday night.

The Spice Girls picked up the award for Band of the Year and Beckinsale won Film Actress of the Year at a glitzy ceremony in London.

Kate Moss picked up the award for Entrepreneur of The Year whereas Heroes cutie Hayden Panettiere received an award for Newcomer of The Year.

Lily Allen won the Editor’s Special Award, while Kelly Osbourne - who made her West End debut in Chicago - was named Theatre Actress of the Year.

Ashes to Ashes star Keeley Hawes picked up the gong for Television Actress of the Year and Dannii Minogue was Television models Personality of the Year.

In music, Annie Lennox received an inspiration award and Beth Ditto was named best international musician/solo artist. Former X Factor winner Leona Lewis was named U.K. Solo Artist.

Mark Ronson - the only non-female to win an award - was crowned man of the year.

Luna Maya, Actress and Model, Indonesia

Luna Maya is one of Indonesia’s most popular actresses – as well as one of its most successful models. She is also committed to helping her fellow Indonesians through charity and social work.

Born in Denpasar, Bali on August 26, 1983, Luna began her career as professional model in 1999 – at the age of just 16. She instantly made a name for herself and soon became one of the most sought after model photography in Indonesia.

By 2002, she was modeling full time – appearing in runway shows, and on the cover of a host of high-profile magazines, including Bazaar and Cosmopolitan.

However, Luna was determined to branch out into acting and in 2003 she appeared for the first time on television – in shows produced by MD Entertainment, such as Kau dan Aku. She also worked as a TV presenter on RCTI, Indonesia’s largest TV station.

Soon she moved from the small to the silver screen – acting in a number of very popular teen movies, including her two biggest hits so far – Bangsal 13 and the recently released Cinta Silver. Her latest film – Ruha – has not yet been released but it marks yet another leap forward in Luna’s career since she is also an assistant producer on the film. She is currently also the star of one of Indonesia’s top-rated television models shows, Rahasiaku.

She has been involved in a number of social and humanitarian activities. She has worked with WALHI – Indonesia’s leading environmental NGO – to highlight the importance of Earth Day, as well as appearing at fundraising events for victims of the tsunami in Aceh.
